How it works

Style Spot is a workspace for professional stylists and the people they dress. When a stylist builds a look, the pieces in it link to real products at third-party retailers. When we link out to a product, that link is sometimes an affiliate link. If you click it and make a purchase, the retailer or an affiliate network (such as our commerce partner) may pay Style Spot a small commission.

What this means for you

• You pay nothing extra. Commissions are paid by the retailer out of their margin. Your price is exactly the same as it would be without our link.
• We don't sell the products. Style Spot is not the seller or merchant of record. You buy directly from the third-party retailer, under their pricing, shipping, returns, and privacy terms.
• Picks are based on the person, not the payout. Stylists choose pieces to fit the client, the occasion and the budget. Whether a retailer has an affiliate program does not drive what is recommended.

Stylists and commissions

Stylists on Style Spot may also earn a share of the affiliate commission when a client buys a piece the stylist recommended through the platform. This is disclosed here so everyone understands how Style Spot and its stylists are compensated.

Why we disclose this

We believe you should always know when a link can earn us money, and disclosure is required by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and by the affiliate networks we work with. This page, together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, explains exactly how Style Spot makes money.
